Every year since 02 I’ve been coming to Mammoth Mnt. with my friend Manny. Over the years many things have changed in town. One thing stays constant and that is The Loony Bean. The Bean is a coffee shop many people in town love it some hate it; I obviously spread the Looney love. In 2006 I moved to Mammoth and quickly became a frequenter (mainly for the free wifi). Since cali has some strange and unusual hatred for Dunkin’, there is not much for coffee in the town of Mammoth. You have the evil establishment known as starbucks , scholums , chevron, or the blue moon. None compare to the Looney bean… Why? You may ask easy, like the trendy people to the North in Portland and Seattle they know that having hot chicks behind the coffee is the key to keeping the customers coming back. Sure the coffee is sub par and the patented “looney dust” is the only thing that can make it taste half way decent, it’s the hottie with the neff beanie that gave you that smile that keeps you coming back. Now sure there are some lagoon creatures but my mountain town standards these girls ain’t half bad. Oh yah the Looney Late’ is probably the best thing going.
So looks like Boneyard and Last Call are gonna be wet ones… i sure hope that its not a total wash!
Last Call this Wednesday at Loon Mt. I will be judging apparently, i think its a rad honor to be asked…even to just help out in anyway possible is appreciated, but to judge the likes an olympic medalist and some of the best rippers on the east (not to mention the country) is unbelievable. All in all should be epic even with out my lame ass.
Got this today Snowboard Mag X Eastern Boarder new era. Only 25 made and I was lucky to snag one. If you know me at all you know that I’ve been a follower of Snowboard Mag before it was an actual Mag and just a Blog, (google it i have an account with them since 2002) Anyway I’ve been trying to get my hand on one of their fitteds forever! they show em and say they are going to release them, but they never do! Good things come to those who wait.
